Miami real estate complex accepts Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH)

A luxury Miami real estate complex has a few apartments for sale, and several cryptocurrencies are accepted as payment. This is a new step for the city whose mayor is trying to attract many market players.

One more step towards cryptocurrencies

The city of Miami continues to reach out to cryptocurrency enthusiasts. The next buyers of an apartment in the luxurious Arte Surfside real estate complex will be able to use their crypto-assets as a method of payment.

The Arte Surfside is already home to a few celebrities like Ivanka Trump, her husband Jared Kushner, as well as fashion blogger Arielle Charnas. The Villa Nove penthouse at the property complex, currently famous for being listed at $38 million, will also be available for purchase in cryptocurrency.

To allow these sales in crypto-currencies, future buyers will have to go through the SolidBlock exchange platform. There will also be a varied choice of cryptocurrencies to make this purchase, such as bitcoin (BTC) and ether (ETH).

Miami the Bitcoin Hub in Florida

The city of Miami is proving attractive to the cryptocurrency industry, in particular thanks to its mayor, Francis Suarez. The latter is trying to attract cryptocurrency miners and other followers in order to make Miami the new Silicon Valley.

Not long ago, Francis Suarez met Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, Jack Dorsey, CEO of Twitter, as well as Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google. The purpose of these meetings was to convince them to settle in Miami .

Francis Suarez’s communication seems to be working, as the sunny city has already attracted many important players in the cryptocurrency industry. This is what motivated the promoters of the Miami Arte Surfside in their decision to accept cryptocurrencies as a means of payment.

The mayor of Miami aims to make his city work in perfect harmony with cryptocurrencies, and more particularly bitcoin. He hopes that someday residents will be able to pay their taxes and receive their salaries entirely in BTC if they wish and that he can manage the city’s treasury in the same way.
