Less than a month after the launch of the “Cashtag” feature on the Twitter Business Account, the social media behemoth has covertly added support for XRP.
Cryptocurrency enthusiasts may monitor the token’s price directly on the social networking platform thanks to XRP support. Users can get the cryptocurrency’s pricing graph on Twitter by tweeting or searching the XRP ticker symbol with a dollar sign ($) in front.
Users can either click the pricing graph to be taken to a more dynamic graph powered by Trading View or the “View on Robinhood” button for more information about the movement of the XRP price.
Twitter’s Cashtag Feature
Users can monitor the values of specific cryptocurrencies and significant stocks using the Cashtag feature. It is important to note that the Twitter Business division launched the functionality on December 21. During the launch, Twitter initially enabled support for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), the two biggest cryptocurrencies by market cap.
Curiously, the top social media network has kept adding support for more cryptocurrencies nearly every day. Dogecoin (DOGE), Litecoin (LTC), Cardano (ADA), Binance USD (BUSD), Solana (SOL), Shiba Inu, and other cryptocurrencies are supported by the service in addition to XRP.
According to a report published last week by fxcryptonews, Shiba Inu prices can now be followed directly on Twitter.
Impact of Ripple v. SEC on XRP
The initiative is created at a moment when supporters of XRP are eagerly awaiting news on the SEC v. Ripple lawsuit. It is well known that the circumstances of the case affect the XRP price. A favorable development usually raises the value of XRP. In contrast, XRP typically experiences a decline if the lawsuit update is favorable to the Securities and Exchange Commission.
A noteworthy aspect of the case is that it is currently going through the summary judgment phase. Many anticipate Judge Analisa Torres’ decision on the ultimate result to be made by the end of Q1 2023 or earlier, including lawyer Jeremy Hogan.
At press time, XRP is changing hands around $0.381, down 1.0% in the past 24 hours.
