Zaradar, also known as Tobias Andersen, suggested that the Joint Layer 1 Task Force is close to launching the Terra Classic v1.1.0 update.
The developer announced on Twitter today that the initial version of Terra Classic v1.1.0 has been successfully developed and tested and is now in its first release candidate stage. The developer stated that the upgrade is expected to be available for shipment in the near future.
The development team, primarily focused on Layer 1 technology, seems to be continuing their efforts to improve their product. Recently, they released version 1.0.5, which addressed problems encountered while implementing previous chain upgrades. It appears that the team is actively working to ensure that their product is functioning at its best and is committed to ongoing improvement.

According to the report, the team has been allocated a total of more than $141,000 in funding, which will be released as they meet specific project milestones. The report indicates that the team is progressing faster than expected and is already ahead of schedule in meeting its Q1 goals. The report also mentions that the team intends to add additional project milestones by the end of the quarter.
The development of Terra Classic v1.1.0 seems to be progressing smoothly, despite disagreements between the two primary developers, Zaradar and Jacob Gadikian, the founder of Notional Labs. The confirmed updates for the new version of Terra Classic include security enhancements. It has been reported that Gadikian provided one of the patches included in the update.
It is anticipated that Terra Classic v1.1.0 will also include three newly introduced optional features, as proposed by Edward Kim in three separate signal proposals. Two of these proposals are aimed at meeting Binance’s requirements for resuming its voluntary burns of Terra Luna Classic (LUNC) trading fees.Â
Specifically, Binance requests that the Terra Classic community create a separate burn wallet that is excluded from token re-mints and exempt its wallets from the on-chain tax for internal transfers. These features are expected to be incorporated into Terra Classic v1.1.0.
According to Kim, there will be a final vote on the proposed optional features for Terra Classic v1.1.0. Still, the outcome of the signal proposal vote will guide the developers on whether or not to include the features in the new version. The article reports that TerraCVita, an independent development group for Terra Classic, recently backed the signal proposals.
