Updates on the Shiba Inu (SHIB) Shibarium layer-2 network have been scarce lately. Despite being scheduled for a Q3 2022 release, development issues led to a delay until early 2023, which also did not come to fruition.
However, in mid-April, Shiba Inu (SHIB) lead developer Shytoshi Kusama announced that Shibarium might launch in two to three months, which could mean a Q2 or Q3 2023 release. The launch date, however, was not specified.
In addition, SHIB influencer Lucie commented that the launch depends on progress and audits. According to Lucie’s tweet, Kusama stated that there would be audits, and the network is presently being tested for safety features.
Lucie also predicted that Shibarium might be released in Q3 or Q4 of 2023, and her prior projection of the beta test net’s release in Q4 2022 or Q1 2023 was accurate since the test net went live in March. As a result, Lucie’s predictions appear to be trustworthy.

Will Shiba Inu’s Shibarium Network Go Live in Q4 of This Year?
The Shibarium project has failed to meet its deadlines, missing three launch dates in one year, making it difficult to trust the team’s launch estimates shared with the community. However, the Q3-Q4 launch prediction by Lucie appears credible, given Shytoshi’s own estimates aligning with that timeline. If everything goes according to plan, we may finally witness the launch of Shibarium later this year. If Lucie’s forecasts are accurate, the new Shiba Inu blockchain could arrive as early as August 2023.
Shiba Inu (SHIB) is being traded at $0.00000898, marking a 3.8% drop in the past 24 hours and a 10.2% decline in the previous seven days. The asset has recently gained another zero in front of its price.
