Shibarium, the layer-2 solution for Shiba Inu, has experienced remarkable growth in three key metrics within the last 24 hours. The updates were shared by the Shibarium Updates account on the X platform. Alongside these developments, the SHIB burn rate has skyrocketed, indicating heightened community activity.
Massive Growth in Transactions
Over the past day, Shibarium’s total transaction count surged by an impressive 5 million. It climbed from 907,567,620 on Thursday to 912,670,221 by Friday. This substantial increase demonstrates a significant uptick in blockchain activity, signaling growing adoption and usage of Shibarium’s layer-2 network.

The number of wallets connected to Shibarium also recorded a slight increase. The total wallet count rose from 2,109,968 to 2,110,190 in the same timeframe. Although this growth is modest compared to transaction volume, it indicates a steady rise in user engagement.
Similarly, the number of blocks produced by the blockchain increased marginally, moving from 9,323,248 to 9,340,418. While these increments are smaller, they reflect the network’s consistent operations.
SHIB Burn Rate Surges Over 1,000%
In addition to the rise in transactions, Shibarium saw a significant jump in the SHIB burn rate. Data from the Shibburn tracker revealed that the community removed 15,104,251 SHIB coins from circulation within the last 24 hours.Â

This activity pushed the burn rate up by an astounding 1,146.44% compared to the previous day. Notably, a single transaction accounted for nearly all of the burned SHIB, contributing 14,089,269 coins to the total.
Shibarium’s recent performance highlights the platform’s growing adoption, with a substantial increase in transactions and a record-breaking burn rate. As these metrics continue to rise, the Shiba Inu ecosystem could witness enhanced utility and reduced token supply, driving potential long-term value.
