Leading Shiba Inu developer Shytoshi Kusama recently acknowledged that burning trillions of Shiba Inu (SHIB) tokens with Shibarium, the eagerly anticipated future layer-2 solution is one of the team’s goals.
Recently, Shytoshi Kusama revealed this in response to a question from a member of the neighborhood.
Shibarium’s hype has grown tremendously due to this revelation, as token burns remain a significant problem for the community.
In response to a recent query from a member, Kusama discovered the group’s discord channel.
The unidentified person questioned, “Will trillions of coins be burned from it?” Kusama responded, “That’s the goal, bud.”
ShibaSpain, an unidentified member of the Shiba Inu community with a base in Spain, tweeted about the fantastic revelation to further draw attention to it.
ShibaSpain had consistently spread the myth that when Shibarium was at its strongest, it would burn trillions of tokens. The allegations gain credence as a result of this confirmation.
Shiba Inu Burn Concerns
The Shiba Inu burn project, which aims to significantly reduce the asset’s overall supply to offer enough support for its price movements, is one of the leading causes of concern for SHIB investors.
Due to its importance, both projects and supporters have supported the movement, which has resulted in a cumulative burn of 410.3 trillion tokens, or 41% of its initial supply, so far.
Although the burns are very severe, the community wants them treated as quickly as possible, and Shibarium offers to achieve this.
On January 7, the Shibarium Twitter account explicitly reaffirmed that any transaction on the platform would result in the burning of SHIB.
In a January 15 article, the SHIB development team also disclosed plans to introduce a burn portal designed especially for Shibarium.
Shibarium Launch Will Spur More Developments
According to the development team and Shytoshi Kusama, Shibarium has a more substantial offering for the project than its guarantee of burns.
Kusama also disclosed that when Shibarium launches, projects like Ufo, Mbet, VXL, and F9 are expected to start utilizing it.
He said that the goal of creating the layer-2 solution is simply this.
NastyShib, a SHIB influencer, commented on Kusama’s remarks, saying, “‘I’m looking forward to when more investors begin to understand what for since the beginnings I have called the “ecosystem” and “satellite” tokens.”
They claim that when Shibarium launches, the Shiba Inu ecosystem will draw new advancements, resulting in larger and smaller branches,” with SHIB acting as the roots and Shibarium as the trunk.
