The Shiba Inu project team has maintained its mysterious tweet-sharing in the midst of intense interest in Shibarium’s upcoming launch. Two members of the Shiba Inu team, “SHIB Trophias” and “ShibaKraken,” posted a ticking clocks gif and video in less than 24 hours.
Recent tweets seem to be building up to a Shiba Inu update. The crew has been mum regarding any impending Shiba Inu upgrade, it’s still unknown to Shiba Inu enthusiasts whether it’s for Shibarium or anything else.
The following tweet is shared by a member of the SHIB Defense Team and Co-lead of Metaverse Team.
The official Defense Team, Growth Team, and Shib Discord members tweeted the following:
Shibarium Seems to be The Focus of SHIB Holders
A Twitter user going by the handle @jds updates declared that he is looking forward to what happens when the countdown timer expires.
“Can’t wait for what happens when the clock stops ticking!” @jds_updates stated.
Shiba Inu holders have oddly persisted to point to Shibarium while the team has refused to address the community’s worries.
@partnershiba93 he is excited about Shibarium.
Another SHIB advocate mentioned that Shibarium, a Layer-2 scaling network now being constructed on the Ethereum blockchain, is about to launch and that time is running out.
The Excitement Surrounding Shibarium’s Launch
The community has recently become suspicious that all strange tweets from the Shiba Inu official team members are connected to Shibarium. Remember how Trophias notified the community on December 6 that “time is ticking” for the debut of an unnamed Shiba Inu project? According to Trophias, the mysterious project’s version 1 design is finished. He also stated that the team was “finalizing the content” for the project that’ll be launched in phases.
Unsurprisingly, Shiba Inu holders stated that Trophias was speaking of Shibarium. Trophias rejected these assertions and suggested that the tweet might have been directed at the entire Shiba Inu ecosystem rather than simply Shibarium.
It is important to note that Shibarium is one of the main initiatives the Shiba Inu development team is concentrating on. This was revealed by the game’s lead developer Shytoshi Kusama after finishing the Shiba Eternity Players’ Guide.
“In my next blog, I’ll explain what’s happening behind the scenes and why my focus now turns to Shibarium and other TREATs for the ShibArmy,” Kusama said.
Since the development team doesn’t want to let down SHIB holders once more, it has not yet announced the precise launch time for Shibarium’s public testnet. According to a blog post by Unification, one of the teams responsible for Shibarium’s development hinted that the L2 network would launch by the end of September. However, Shibarium did not launch as promised by Unification, which caused a broad outcry from SHIB holders.
To distance Shiba Inu from the controversy, Kusama asserted that the date was not provided by the SHIB team and that Shiba Inu does not supply dates. The Shiba Inu team has not spoken since the incident regarding the precise launch time for Shibarium.
