The Shiba Inu community are yet to pull their feet off the gas as over half a billion SHIB tokens have been disposed of this week and 220.32 million in the past 24 hours. However, the burning exercise seems to be losing momentum as it fails to maintain its record of burning 1 billion tokens in a week.
Since the SHIB Burn Portal launch, the ShibArmy, for the first time, unsuccessfully reached its target of burning 1 billion SHIBs last week.
SHIB Burn Portal is designed to verify the real SHIB Burner projects while rewarding them with RYOSHI Vision tokens in exchange. SHIB Burn Portal proves to be a BIG SUCCESS. During the first two months of launch, the community burned over 55 billion SHIB using the portal.
According to the tracking platform, Shibburn, data shows that over 565.49 Million Shiba Inu tokens have been burned in the past week.
Among prominent SHIB Burners, Travis Johnson’s SHIB Super Store removed the most meme cryptocurrency weekly. In addition, 1Cent Token came second, and the ETH SHIBA token managed to take the third spot on the list.
Travis Johnson’s SHIB Super Store Weekly Burn Event
Travis Johnson’s SHIB Super Store has burned the most Shiba Inu tokens in the last 24 hours. As a result, the individual project has permanently removed more than 61 million tokens from circulation.
On Sunday, Travis Johnson’s SHIB Super Store noted that the individual project had incinerated 61,380,463 (61.38M) SHIB tokens in one significant transaction through the SHIB Burn Portal.
To burn Shiba Inu, the ShibArmy has to sign up for a free trial of Audible, a subsidiary of Amazon, which offers the world’s largest selection of audiobooks through the SHIB Super Store. Consequently, the SHIB Super Store will earn $5 per signup as a bounty/reward from Amazon. Johnson has promised to use 100% of the revenues earned from these signups to burn Shiba Inu.

1Cent and ETH SHIB Weekly Burn Event
1Cent and ETH SHIBA are the two tokens dedicated to burning Shiba Inu tokens. They organised the Weekly Burn Event on June 20th and burned 102,170,994 (102.17M) SHIB in two separate transactions.
1Cent token has sent 52,170,994 (52.17M) SHIB to the dead address, whereas ETH SHIBA permanently removed exactly 50 million SHIB tokens from circulation.
Past 24-Hour Shiba Inu Burn
Besides weekly burns, Shibburn reported that the community had sent 220,329,573 (220.32M) SHIB tokens to the dead wallets through 17 separate transactions in the last 24 hours with the help of the SHIB Burn Portal.
