The announcement caused widespread excitement among Shiba Inu enthusiasts, and many expressed their support of the choice in the comments section.

The Shibarium project team also took some time to thank the Atomic Wallet team for their efforts.

“We appreciate the support for our upcoming Layer2 Protocol,” the Shibarium team commented via its Twitter handle.

Shibarium Also Receives Support From Ledger

It’s important to note that the statement comes just a few days after prominent cryptocurrency hardware wallet provider Ledger revealed intentions to support the future layer-2 network of the Shiba Inu.

Ledger revealed this in response to a question posed by Burnsalot.NFT, a Shibarium supporter. Burnsalot.NFT recently asked on Twitter if Ledger will support the future Shibarium protocol. In an interesting turn, Ledger confirmed supporting the upcoming L2 network is part of its roadmap.

An Ethereum L2 network called Shibarium is being developed for the Shiba Inu ecosystem. Numerous features, including fast, cheap, and secure transactions, are anticipated for the impending Shiba Inu’s L2 network. Additionally, some supporters claim that Polygon would face competition from the network regarding operability, scalability, and security.

The announcements by Ledger and Atomic show how the hype around Shibarium has continued to pique the curiosity of the whole cryptocurrency world.
Nevertheless, Shibarium’s day of launch hasn’t been confirmed. The development team has persisted in saying that the L2 network’s beta version will shortly roll out even though there is still no date for Shibarium’s launch.
