A developer of Shiba Inu, Kaal Dhairya, has issued a disclaimer to clarify that ShibaSwap is the only “official” decentralized exchange on the upcoming layer-2 network of Shibarium.

In a recent tweet, Kaal Dhairya cautioned that some individuals are trying to exploit the Shiba Inu brand and community connections for personal gain. He advised community members and exchanges to conduct proper research before participating in any project. Dhairya also emphasized that ShibaSwap is the only “official” decentralized exchange on the upcoming Shibarium layer-2 network.

The Pawswap team responded by stating there should be no “official Dex” on a decentralized network. They emphasized that they are only building what the people want.

The recent disclaimer was issued following a conflict between Shytoshi Kusama and the PawSwap team. PawSwap is a decentralized exchange planning to launch on the upcoming Shibarium network.

Lucie, a prominent influencer in the Shiba Inu community, has accused the Pawswap team of organizing a coordinated FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt) attack on Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer of Shiba Inu, and Bone ShibaSwap (BONE), which is the governance token for ShibaSwap. Lucie alleges that the attacks are being carried out by former employees Kusama dismissed.

Lucie claims that the Pawswap team created a false tweet attributed to Binance’s CZ, claiming that he had exchanged his BONE holdings for “powerful tokens.” Additionally, she alleges that the team also commissioned a false advertisement to damage Kusama’s reputation within the community.

Kusama addressed the alleged attacks in a Telegram message directed at DeFi Kraken, a Pawswap team member.

He said:

“This is my only warning to you. Stop nonsense. Stop f****** around getting people to sell BONE so you and your team can put your greedy paws on as much as possible in an attempt to rule Doggy Dao. You are not fooling anyone. Again, this is your last warning,”

It is relevant to note that Kusama denied any association with the Pawswap decentralized exchange last month. He clarified that he did not consider the project fake but had no links. Kusama also said he would stop following Shibarium projects, believing this could be misinterpreted as an endorsement.
