Shibburn data shows that over 2.41 billion tokens of the dog-inspired cryptocurrency Shiba Inu (SHIB) were burned in nearly 236 separate transactions over the past week. Among the major SHIB Burn contributors of the week are 1Cent token and Travis Johnson’s SHIB Burn Games.
According to a recent Shibaburn.com tweet, the SHIB Army has permanently removed 2,417,015,301 (2.41B) SHIB tokens from circulation in the last seven days via 236 separate transactions.
1 CENT Weekly Burn EVENT
On Tuesday, the SHIB-inspired token “1Cent” organized its Weekly Burn Event among prominent SHIB Burners. The 1Cent token has destroyed an incredible 74,450,084 (74.45M) SHIB in two transactions. The team sent 7,529,854 SHIB to the dead wallet in the first transaction. Following the first burn, the team waited nearly an hour before performing another transaction that destroyed 66,920,230 (66.92M) more SHIB, according to Etherscan.io.
The team updated the total number of Burn SHIB tokens on its official website shortly after organizing the Weekly BURN EVENT. Since March 14th, 2022, the project claims to have burned 2,161,207,079 (2.16B) SHIB in 11 separate transactions.
Burn in the Last 24 Hours
Shiba Inu Community has sent 96,956,046 (96.95M) SHIB tokens to the dead wallet through 19 separate transactions in the last 24 hours using the SHIB Burn Portal, according to Shibburn.com.
Travis Johnson’s SHIB Burn Games is Today’s Top SHIB Burner
One of the most prominent SHIB Burner Projects, Travis Johnson’s SHIB Burn Games, made the single largest burn transaction in the last 24 hours while organizing its Second Weekly Burn Event. Over 48.9 million Shiba Inu tokens were burned in the transaction.
Following the Burn Event, the company tweeted a few screenshots and a transaction link to the community as “Proof of Burn.”
Previously, on the 15th of each month, the developer of the Brick Busters game organizes the Monthly Burn Event. However, following the announcement of the first ShibaBurn rewards, the company decided to change its burning schedule, which means that SHIB Burn Games will now burn SHIB every week rather than once a month.
The company has supported Shiba Inu Burns since November 2021. However, since then, the project has claimed that 2,085,102,807 (2.08B) SHIB tokens will be permanently removed from circulation.
On May 26 (Thursday), the company launched a new method of burning SHIB, namely, Burning SHIB via Amazon. In addition, the company announced that the Amazon affiliate program accepted the official website of SHIB Super Store. As a result, the shop intends to use 1 to 20% of its revenue to support SHIB burn.
