Puerto Rico Based Beauty Salon Becomes the Latest to add Shiba Inu as a Payment Method

Shiba Inu, popularly known as the ‘dogecoin killer’, continues to make waves in the commercial sector as more merchants and businesses worldwide adopt the memecoin as a means of exchange. Jossey Salon, a Puerto Rican-based beauty salon, is the latest service provider to partner with Shiba Inu openly.

The South American business announced this news in a tweet on 28 April 2022, saying:

“Do you need a makeover? We present to you “JossySalon” a beauty salon located in San Juan, Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 and now accepts $SHIB as a payment method. We are going to give all the support to this member of the pack, WOOF!! 🐕 🦴”

Customers who are part of the Shiba Inu community can patronize their services and pay using SHIB tokens instead of fiat currencies. The main aim of this partnership is to drive the cryptocurrency adoption rate higher in Puerto Rico and other major South American- owned businesses.

More Development on Shiba Inu

The Shiba Inu community is one of the largest in the cryptocurrency space. Most of its holders fall among young people who favour digital payments more than traditional payments. Therefore, more businesses believe that accepting cryptocurrency is a great way to reach out to customers looking for more accessible means to make transactions regardless of their locations.

The memecoin has been in the spotlight this week for many reasons, including Elon Musk’s impact after he acquired Twitter and the SHIB burning portal.

Today’s Shiba Inu price stands at $0.000023 with a 24-hour trading volume of $562,978,952. Currently, Shiba Inu is down by 2.59% in the last 24 hours, and it ranks at number 15 on the CoinMarketCap, with a live market cap of $12,466,613,594.
