“All Dogecoin Core users – miners, services, relay operators and wallet users – are strongly recommended to upgrade.”
More Development on the Dogecoin Upgrade
According to the Github document, the memory management of the network in cases of congestion has been improved. The document also reveals that the network now rejects buggy messages as well. Meanwhile, as regards fees, the network dust limit has been adjusted from 1 DOGE to 0.01 DOGE.
Interestingly, the community has received the news of the upgrade with excitement. Elon Musk commenting on the announcement, tweeted, “Upgrades!” Even as DOGE co-creator Billy Markus shared the post with the caption, “New version of dogecoin core released.”
It is necessary to add that the upgrade follows the recent wave of positive sentiment in the DOGE community following the introduction of memes in the Dogeverse. Notably, there has been a significant uptick in activity on the network.

Furthermore, the leading meme token has gotten the attention of giant whales on the Binance chain. Following the latest market rally, there has been a significant rise in transactions exceeding $100,000 on the network.
So far, the 10th most prominent cryptocurrency is trading at $0.06862, with a 24-hour trading volume of $841,172,050. Additionally, the memecoin is down 8.51% in the last 24 hours but improved by 13% in the past seven days.
