The community has noticed a resurgence in whale activity in the past 24 hours, which resulted in the movement of over 479 million XRP tokens in just two hours, with Ripple accounting for 100 million tokens. The transactions occurred at the beginning of XRP’s most recent price recovery campaign, during which the asset reclaimed the $0.35 region.

Ripple’s Transactions

According to Whale Alert, Ripple executed the first whale transacted 13 hours ago, involving 100 million XRP ($34 million). Ripple sent the tokens to an unidentified address, which has already transferred 33.5M tokens to another anonymous wallet. The most recent transaction represents the address’s first inflow of the year after it received 100M XRP from Ripple on Christmas Day.

The most recent whale transaction that Ripple has earlier involved in was the transfer of a recent fund. Following the movement of 100 million tokens in a single transaction the month prior, the business transmitted 100 million XRP to two undisclosed wallets on two separate occasions in December last year.

Other Whale Transactions

Approximately one hour after Ripple’s most recent transaction, at 20:34 (UTC), a significant transfer of 214 XRP ($73.5M) occurred between two unknown wallets. In the last 24 hours, this is the single-largest transaction involving XRP. The receiving wallet has sent all the tokens to Bitstamp, Bitso, and Independent Reserve, while the identities of both wallets remain unknown, leaving a balance of 100 XRP.

The beneficiary wallet from the initial transaction was used in the subsequent whale transaction that Whale Alert indexed. At 21:21 (UTC) yesterday, the wallet sent 36M XRP ($12.3M) from the 214M tokens it had previously received to a Bitstamp address.

Just two minutes later, the wallet submitted two unequal transactions totaling 70 million XRP ($23.9 million) to the same Bitstamp address. At 21:22 (UTC), there was a transfer of 30 million XRP ($10.2 million), then at 21:23 (UTC), there was another transfer of 40 million XRP ($13.7 million).

An internal transfer between two Bitso wallets was the most recent whale transaction in the last 24 hours. A transfer of 59.4 million XRP ($20.4 million) from one Bitso wallet to another occurred yesterday at 21:30 (UTC). All of these transactions amounted to 479.4M XRP tokens in total.

Meanwhile, XRP is expected to print a profitable candle for the fourth day. The asset recently launched a recovery campaign, surpassing the $0.35 region before encountering a rejection. XRP is now up 3.4% over the last 24 hours, trading at $0.35338.
