Elon Musk, Tesla CEO and major Dogecoin influencer, noted that less than 5% of his time is dedicated to the Twitter deal because acquiring the microblogging company does not require his attention. He also added that he had been focused on his electric car company, Tesla.

“To be clear, I’m spending <5% (but actually) of my time on Twitter acquisition. It ain’t rocket science! Yesterday was Giga Texas, today is Starbase. Tesla is on my mind 24/7,” Musk said on Twitter.

The Tesla boss also shared a viral meme that depicted a man who got distracted by another lady walking past him while taking a walk with his partner. According to the meme, Musk is the man, his partner is Tesla, and the distraction lady is Twitter.

Commenting on the photo, Musk said: “So may seem like below, but not true.”

Elon Musk Takes His Time to Acquire Twitter

Since the Twitter board agreed to sell the social media company to Musk, the world has anticipated exciting news from the Tesla executive.

However, there has been little progress aside from investments made by a few companies, including Binance, to finance the deal.

Musk surprised his followers on Tuesday this week when he disclosed that the Twitter deal would not move forward until the company’s CEO showed the extent of bot activities on the social media platform.

The Tesla boss noted that, contrary to claims by the Twitter CEO that bots control only 5% of all accounts on the social media platform, there are actually 20% bots-owned Twitter accounts.

He also added that renegotiating the Twitter deal from the previously agreed $44 billion to a lower amount was still possible. Furthermore, his recent allegations that bots own 20% of Twitter accounts plunged the price of the company’s shares by 19% a few hours after making that comment.

It is important to note that Musk despises bots’ activities on social media platforms, as he revealed earlier that one of his goals in taking over Twitter was to eliminate bots and their actors.

He disclosed that he would eliminate Twitter spam bots or die trying.
